Catherine graduated from the University of Reading with a BA (Hons) in Archaeology in 2009 and spent seven years working in commercial archaeology before becoming a Project Officer with Suffolk Archaeology CIC in 2016.
After taking part in research projects for English Heritage and the University of Reading, Catherine spent a year working for Oxford Archaeology on various sites across the UK and on a fortified Iron Age settlement in Brittany, France. She then spent six years working for Archaeology South East at sites such as the Roman bath house at Chichester and on many prehistoric sites across the Weald. During this time, she directed a number of archaeological excavations and geophysical surveys across the South East of England.
Catherine enjoys working with students and members of the public and she spent the last summer teaching students archaeological excavation and interpretation skills at a Bronze Age settlement on an uninhabited Greek Island for the University of Cambridge.
Her current role involves running sites and liaising with clients and county archaeologists as well as assisting with on-site surveying and data processing.
