Presently in post as a Senior Project Officer with Suffolk Archaeology, Stuart has worked continuously as an archaeologist for a period of 30 years, 29 with Suffolk County Councils Archaeological Service prior to its divestment as Suffolk Archaeology in 2015. Prior to this Stuart undertook three years of graduate study, majoring in Geology.
During his time in Suffolk Stuart has progressed from a site excavator through to his present position and has become experienced in most forms and periods of archaeological site work and post-excavation to publication level. His current position includes significant project management tasks with responsibility for project budgets, logistics and staff management. Many of his projects are long standing and involve building good client relationships and represent repeated significant blocks of work accumulating over a number of years. Stuart is a member of the present management team which is tasked with establishing Suffolk Archaeology as a leading provider in the archaeological sector in the region.
